Current projects

Educational exchanges Ésacto’Lido – Phare Ponleu Selpak

This project has been scheduled over a period of 3 years, from October 2020 to June 2023 and has 3 specific objectives :

  • development of a new training framework for the Phare Ponleu Selpak circus school integrating circus techniques and artistic openness
  • updating of safety standards, procedures and equipment for gymnasiums and big tops at Phare Ponleu Selpak
  • strengthening the perception and physical training routines for the students and teachers of the Phare Ponleu Selpak circus school

The project will take place alternately in the Battambang region in Cambodia, where the NGO Phare Ponleu Selpak is located, and in the Occitanie region in France, where the Ésacto’Lido is located. 6 alternating exchanges of teams including teachers, students and administrators will be organized in Battambang and Occitanie. Teacher and student training immersion courses with participation in various festivals in France and Cambodia, safety training, seminars on the development of the Phare Ponleu Selpak circus school.

This project is supported by the Occitanie region.

 

Riggers

The Ésacto’Lido participates in the RIGGERS project. The React, Invent, Get together for a Goal: Expertise in Rigging Services (RIGGERS) project has been developed to answer the needs of riggers in professional circus schools, with the aim of enhancing the quality of safety measures and creating an international community eager to exchange skills, advice and expertise to be transmitted to future generations.

RIGGERS is led in partnership with SKH with the aim to enhance the quality of safety measures in professional circus schools by :

  • sharing best practices
  • seeking tailored solutions to common issues
  • creating an international rigging community

Travesia
La Grainerie leads this cross-border cooperation project. Travesía is a project that has been established  between 8 French and Spanish circus arts partners and which aims to continue to build on the achievements of previous action projects working on employment and the development of circus arts in the region.

PASTS PORJECTS

COSMIC project
As a member of FFEC and FEDEC, the Ésacto’Lido is participating in the COSMIC project. In the same way as the previous projects INTENTS and REFLECT that were carried out jointly by the FFEC and FEDEC, this project aims to improve the quality of circus education and training. The project is scheduled start in September 2020 and end in December 2022.

City in Motion
City in motion is an Erasmus + Mobility project (2019-2021) that aims to strengthen the partnership between La Grainerie and the Ésacto’Lido. Thanks to the mobility of all the teams and in association with the Common Media Occitanie and Acolytes, this project aims to encourage the discovery of different environments, improve learning and promote innovation and cohesion within the European sector.

De Mar a Mar
De Mar a Mar aimed to structure the cross-border circus industry through the improvement of training, guidance and support for artists in 2016-2019.
De Mar a Mar is a cooperation project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union through POCTEFA.

De Mar a Mar – Pyrénées de cirque was a cooperation project scheduled from 2016 to 2019 with a budget of € 1,990,390 co-financed by the European Union up to 65% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg VA Spain-France-Andorra Programme (POCTEFA 2014-2020). The objective of POCTEFA is to strengthen the economic and social integration of the border area.
